About UberSchool

What is UberSchools?
UberSchools is an app-based service that manages all rides and transits from school to home for students. UberSchools also allows to track the movement of your child in real time so that you can always be assured about their safety.

All pre-screened Uber drivers and helpers have experience caring for kids and must pass our rigorous selection process, which includes in-person interviews, background checks, fingerprinting, and more. When you sign up, you gain access to this group of providers and can request their help whenever you need it. The UberSchool service is fully insured and licensed by the Public Utilities Commission.
What makes UberSchools different?
UberSchools is a ride-sharing service for kids. Uber understands today’s families are busy yet concerned about the safety of their children, and thus has built a service to support them, so that each family member can safely get where they need to go.
  • UberSchools is safe. All drivers and sitters pass a rigorous screening process and can be interviewed beforehand, to make sure your family is comfortable.
  • UberSchools is personal. We connect you to the right driver or sitter for your request and you can call or message them directly from the app.
  • UberSchools serves kids of all ages. No mobile phone required.
  • UberSchools gives you a way to connect and chat with nearby parents, for free. Sometimes the help of another parent is all you need!

Is there a restriction on age or number of children that can use UberSchools?
UberSchool is able to take care of children of any age that are old enough to attend school. For rides, we ask that children under the age of 2 years old be accompanied by a helper or guardian.

Our helpers in busses can care for several children at once. Our drivers can drive as many children as fit safely in their rides - ranging from approximately three in a sedan up to forty in busses.
For rides, does my child need to have a mobile phone?
No. Children do not need to have a mobile phone in order to ride with UberSchool. Before the ride, we make sure we have all the information we need in order to pick up, transport, and drop off your child(ren) safely. We are in touch with our drivers before, during and after the ride.
